Small Business Idea: Innovative Tourism

Small Business Idea: Innovative Tourism

Need a small business idea? Find a new perspective on an existing business and create a new niche.

Take a lesson from one of the hottest trends in small business: innovate tourism.

One example is "sightjogging," originated by personal trainer Carolina Gasparetto in 2005. In her company, multilingual trainers give guided tours of Rome to fitness-minded tourists. Sightjogging is still running strong, and since then, the concept has caught on world-wide. You can find similar companies across the U.S.A., throughout Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Israel and South Africa.

Another travel concept takes advantage of the historical event of Hurricane Katrina and invites visitors on a tour of
the hurricane devastation in New Orleans of 2005. The route tours places badly affected by the catastrophe and brings money back into the local economy.
