Nowadays small businesses are replacing desktops and laptops to smartphones and tablets. According to a recent poll by portfolio.com which includes more than 2000 small businesses; it was found that the usage of desktops, notebooks, and laptops have decreased among small businesses. However last year around 37 percent small businesses have used a Smartphones or PDAs, a 10% increase over 2010. Whereas 9 percent small businesses used iPads and 31 percent used business applications.
Almost 74% small businesses consider internet as the most important tool compared to 65% in previous year, 55% of small businesses are connected online for more than eight hours a day. 71% of them research purchasing products online while 58% are search business news online.
Small businesses are now more depended on technology and internet seems to be their most critical business weapon.
