A BizInformer Public Service Message

There's no business point to this post. And no real lesson to take away and personalize. Well…that may be wrong. Unfortunately, there may be a couple of you that need this advice.
See the picture at the left?
Don't do that.
If you don't already know what I'm about to tell you, you'll soon start noticing it everywhere. You'll never be the same.
Here we go.
- Don't wear a short tie. Your tie should be no longer than an inch below your belt and no higher than an inch above. A shirt button should never show
- Don't wear a brown belt with black shoes
- Don't wear a black belt with brown shoes
- Don't wear a tie with a short sleeve shirt
- It's okay to wear colors other than black and white
- Make sure your socks and shoes match
- Pick out your clothes and get dressed with the Lights on
- And don't wear a sports coat with buttons that have anchors on them
Any other general fashion tips you care to share? We all could use some help now and then.

What, you don’t like the “full Parma” look, with white socks and black shoes (a la Drew Carey)???

Don’t forget to make sure your pants cuff reaches your shoes and your belt is through all of the loops of your pants.

The “full Parma” look works for Drew, but few others.
I think it’s the the glasses and haircut that really pull-it-off for him

Steve,
How did I forget that!? Both are classic…and you see it in offices around the world. Priceless.
Thanks for the comment!

What a fun and necessary topic. In this day and age, you also need to mention that your shirt should be able to tuck in – no bare belly in the work place, no matter how cute your belly button ring is.
