AIG’s Contracts and Obama’s Outrage

The Daily Kos had a good piece today on outrage many American's feel over AIG's bonuses being paid to people in it's financial unit – the same people who were responsible for the company's collapse.

I heard a report today that contrasted white collar workers in the financial sector with blue collar workers in the auto industry. AIG's bonuses just have to be paid because they're spelled out in contracts. But auto workers' contracts can be renegotiated.

It will be interesting to see how this one ends up.
