Last week the Akron Blogger Community met for the second time. We had some of the first visitors and a few new bloggers as well.
It was a great opportunity to share information. One of the new members of the group Debra Estep who blogs at Deb_Inside talked about a Google product which allows you to index your computer's contents, i.e. Desktop Google. Chris Brown shared more information from SOBCon07 and I shared some of what I've been learning at the e-Marketing class at Corporate College East.
We talked about challenges and ideas and shared tips and learns. It was a great opportunity to meet face to face and share a common interest: participating in the global conversation.
I highly recommend that you consider starting a group in your town. Chris learned about this group event because of Mike Sansone at Conversations and his group. So we put our heads together and thought of six or seven people in town who blogged. We invited them and they invited others and now it is growing to a nice local community.
Not everyone can make the meetings but Bob Copppedge set up a Yahoo Group account for us and we are able to communicate and ask questions and ask for feedback on projects. It's great!

Ron Finklestein had to leave early but while he was there had great information to share – he just missed the picture. And no, Ron, we didn't wait until you left to take the photo.
