I recommend the video on the Subway campaign and spend a few minutes reading the comments.
But he also has an interesting comment about how to grow your e-marketing list - how many times have you put a business card into a fish bowl and never heard anything from the company? It is a simple way to be exposed to a new group of prospects and yet, how many times is nothing done with the business cards.
It isn't just in a fishbowl. Think about the number of networking events you attend and at the end of the evening you might walk away with 5-15 cards. What do you do with them?
Chris's suggestion of sending them an email that invites them to subscribe to your e-zine is a great one. Check out Chris's blog for more e-marketing thoughts and ideas.
