Birds do it, Bees do it...

Did you see this week's Time?
In a career field that has seen declining numbers (179,954 nuns in 1965 and only 67,773 today), many younger nuns are using the Internet to tell their story and attract a younger set.
"As this so-called JP2 generation has come of age, religious orders have begun to reach out again to young people and to do so in the language that young people speak."
A Nun's Life chronicles the life of Sister Julie Vieira, 36. She is a "conventional-dressing, apartment-dwelling, master's degree-holding production coordinator at the Loyola Press, a Catholic publisher in Chicago."
The point being - if you don't have a blog yet - what are you waiting for? If the Catholic church sees the possibilities of reaching their audience through the web - can't you? I know many people who have begun to see the benefits of reading blogs posts however, most are still unconvinced as to the benefits for their business.
The article goes on to say that Mother of the Eucharist
in Ann Arbor, MI "credits e-mail to some extent with what can only be described as her order's astonishing growth. Founded in 1997 as an off-shoot of a large convent, the Sisters now have 73 members with an average age of 24."WOW.
