Can Obama Unfreeze Small Business Credit?
When I was a boy we used to visit my great-grandmother's house on a narrow ridgeline deep in Central Appalachia. The house was surrounded by cornfields and forrest. Small Business Trends published a piece a couple of days ago that amounts to a preview of the President's statement that he gave today on the Small Business Lending Fund Act that (if Congress passes it). The bill has been around since February, but it recently made ti out of the House Financial Services Committee.
SBT sets out a list of things the bill would do. Top of the list, make credit much easier for small businesses to get. The question then becomes one of whether that will be enough to help create small business jobs…
