Cash Flow is Critical

Cash Flow is Critical

I was at a small business trade show recently interviewing for some podcasts focused on highlighting small businesses and one of the people I interviewed was an artist trying to be in business for herself.

I asked her what she had learned in her first year of being in business and she replied, "The one thing I have learned is to really focus on my spending and watching my cash flow." Boy was that an insightful comment coming from someone with no business background at all.

Planning and managing your cash flow is critical for small business survival. This great site by CCH has several tools to help you manage this key element to your business.

The fact that she understands this so quickly, shows that she has an excellent chance at success. Many business owners and managers, after many years, still don’t have this down, and their businesses suffer as a result.
