I visited three websites today with no contact information beyond a web form. All were companies supporting ecommerce. Incredible!
How do you trust a company that doesn't give you a telephone number, physical address, and a name of a human that works there? You can't.
Especially for small businesses, contact information is a great way to personalize the customer experience.
Emails addresses are free – as such you ought to use different addresses to filter inquiries, feedback, and requests for support. The same applies with most voice solutions – it's easy to route calls to specific extensions. Add a name to an extension or an email address and you've made a personal contact.
It's simple. Why don't more do it?
