In the June edition of Inside Business magazine, COSE announced the 2006 winners of the 10 Under 10 Award, a recognition of businesses in Northeast Ohio in business for less than 10 years with less than 10 employees.

Each story is an inspiration. One winner, Chris Brown, president and owner of Marketing Resources and Results, gives us all hope that one day our small business can grow and achieve the goals we dream of.

Last year the Women's Network of Northeast Ohio hosted a panel discussion on the benefits of winning awards. The panelists, of which Chris Brown was one for her then current win of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing executive award, all agreed that winning affords them recognition in the marketplace, increased sales and a much desired affirmation that what they do DOES matter.

It takes a little time to effectively complete the nomination forms, however, winning makes the time and effort well worth it!
