Customer Service As An Offensive Weapon To Grow Revenue
I was thinking today about successful businesses and what makes them successful. I don't think there's a general rule of thumb or universal standard for all markets - that was my first thought. My second thought was how many markets exist where just showing up on time, delivering on schedule, being honest, looking sharp, and communicating expectations were the key to success. Technical competence is a given.

My second thought is the interesting one.

Construction, maintenance, Auto repair, lawn care, real estate, mortgage services, hospitality, residential and commercial cleaning, etc. are all markets whereby customer service can be the dominate differentiating factor to why customers should give you their business. The great thing about this is it's completely within your control.

What other businesses and markets can you think of that can be dominated by delivering outstanding customer service?
