Healthy Employees: Healthy Bottom Line
Companies are discovering that when their employees are healthy, they have fewer medical claims, less work missed and are more productive. Some businesses are pro-actively helping associates become healthy:

- healthier choices in the company cafeteria
- incentives for the fewest number of sick days taken
- sponsorships with Weight Watchers and other programs to come on premise for associates during the lunch hour
- discounted memberships to exercise facilities and some even have exercise equipment on site

Here are a few more ideas found in the January 2007 edition of Working Mother Magazine

Fruit of the Day: Porter Novelli, a global public relations firm, offers free fruit - apples/oranges and occasionally a "guest" fruit like kiwi. This fruit program encourages everyone to eat healthier.

Virtual gym: check out Demand Fitness which offers computer exercise programs. Members can chose from over 150 different classes from meditation to kickboxing.

iPod personal trainer: Iamplify and Podfitness over your downloadable audio workouts like body sculpting and Pilates for your iPod or MP3 player.
