How to Get Federal Contracts for Your Business
I came across this piece recently: Contractors Reveal Their Secrets. I've been involved in the past in applying for Federal grants. So this quote struck a chord with me: "Applying for government contracts is a complex, confusing and often intimidating process."
The article provides brief interviews with nine different business owners who actually got federal contracts. The questions themselves are insightful – questions about the process of registering with the government to be a contractors, about prime contracting vs. subcontracting, about the challenges involved in dealing with government, etc.
All nine of the business owners involved are women. The article was at Womenentrepreneur.com.
