Is Gambling Good Business?
I normally don't write anything political on any of my blogs so this is a first.

This isn't Republican vs. Democrat, this is about allowing Casino Gambling to be added to the State of ohio, USA constitution. The proponents (Current racetrack owners, many politicians and businessman) say it will raise billions for schools. In fact their marketing campaign is called Ohio Learn and Earn.

You should know that Cleveland, OH has the highest poverty rate in the US and Cincinnati is in the Top 10 of the poverty list. Of course local and state governments see this as a revenue source.

Should a state that is struggling with poverty, unemployment, job flight and more be providing a place to suck more dollars out of the current populace?

For my Ohio readers and any others that are interested the link below will take you to a study that argues against the amendment and presents the current facts and their future view of what will be the facts years down the road, like 109,000 new gambling addicts.
