Learning by Podcast

Small Business Essentials has created an informative, five-part podcast on marketing websites. Concise and easy to follow, the five podcasts are definitely worth your time if you are interested in setting up and marketing a website.

This led me to think about other educational opportunities by podcast. What works and what does not work?

I think studying foreign languages by podcast works well. I was a big fan of a Spoonful of Russian, unfortunately, the host has stopped creating podcasts. The archives are available and, if you wanted to learn Russian on your own, this is a great tool. Rolling R’s is updated regularly and features in depth lessons in Spanish.

Angie’s List has a podcast that features stories about consumer scams and customer service. Science Friday is the podcast of the popular NPR radio show. Go Digital is a great way to learn about current technology, trends, and how technology can be applied to your life. These are just some ideas.

What are your favorite educational podcasts and what are those podcasts that just do not work in your opinion?
