Learns from Blogger Convention
Filed in archive Marketing on May 16, 2007
This past weekend, May11-13 in Chicago, a variety of bloggers from around the country gathered for SOBCon 07 (Successful and Outstanding Bloggers Convention).
Chris Brown of Marketing Resources and Results did a great job of gathering attendees notes from the convention.
Although the theme was social media marketing efforts, a lot more was learned by attendees than how to use MySpace to your advantage.
Check out Chris' posting that combines several attendees conference notes.
On an earlier post written while at the convention, Chris shares an "ah ha" moment:
One of my first "Ah Ha's" from the Saturday session of SOBCon'07 didn't have anything to do with social media. sandy Wrenshaw from the Purple Wren opened her laptop and began taking notes.
In an instant, Sandy had marketed her business.
All of the sudden the rest of the room not only knew who she was (with her branding logo), but who she helped (business communicators), how she helped them (with tools & techniques) and where to find her (www.purplewren.com.)
Did you attend? Have you ever attended a blogger convention? What did you learn and would you return?
