Naveen Jain: Who Wants to Be CEO?

When I grow up I want to be a CEO. That's the guy that gets to be in charge of everything (unless the board fires him) and run the business.
I came across this little write up recently on Naveen Jain. He's a CEO. He began is tech career with Microsoft, left them to start a company called InfoSpace (where he was CEO for eight years), and then moved on to start another company – Intelius (specializing in background checks and identity theft protection).
I asked a couple of different people once what a CEO does. One of them told me that a CEO does whatever they want. Then the next person I asked told me that I CEO does whatever has to be done. I've slowly figured out that there's some truth in both those statements. And that usually they get paid pretty well for it.
So when I grow up I want to be Naveen Jain – or at least someone a lot like him…
