No Man is an Island

I found a new Social Media avenue that involves on line and in person connection. Similar to Facebook and LinkedIn - it's free (although you can pay a monthly fee for advanced services) and you set up a personal profile and can connect with others.

The difference is the network is local to you.

BizNet is designed to bring independent business people together. You don't have to feel like you are all alone experiencing challenges without a support network.

Their tag line is: Business networking that doesn't suck.

"BizNetwork brings people and businesses to together."

If there isn't a chapter in your area, you can create one. Just click on the cities and type in your closest major city. Cleveland doesn't have a chapter but once I typed in Cleveland the quotes and contacts changed to those local to my area.

It's pretty interesting and worth the few minutes it takes to set up an account to try it out.

Has anyone joined? Any comments on what it's like, what the value is?
