First you have to decided who gets a gift and who gets a card and who gets taken out for a holiday meal. Look over your prospect/customer list carefully. My accountant informs me that I can write off up to $25 per customer in holiday gift giving, but check with your numbers person to see what is right for you.
When selecting the perfect gift, besides price, what are your objectives:
To say thank you?
To stand out from the crowd?
To spend the most money?
One suggestion is a gift delivery from Harry & David. If you used them last year, they've probably already sent you an updated brochure with the order form completed based on last year's purchases.
Another suggestion is a plant/tree - something they can have in their office that will remind them of you. Of course, if their thumb is as black as mine - the memory might be more stressful than you'd like.
A fresh suggestion comes from John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing - your company logo on a Gift card! Check out John's post with the information you need to order your cards today. In dollar increments from $10-$500 - you can give the gift everyone wants - money - and promote your business at the same time.
Happy Shopping!
