Remember the days of the "power" color. When I lived in Cincinnati I'd hang out with my friends at a pub on Friday for happy hour and you could always tell the young, rising execs because they'd be wearing a "power" tie. Red seemed to be the most common power color.
Colors connect with memories in our life; white = virginal or innocent, black = evil or death, pink = sweet – girly – cute.
But I'd like to offer up an example of powerful pink: SheKnows – a website for women, with a color scheme of pink, but a wealth of knowledge and resources that denotes the ultimate power.
From business to health, family, sex, cooking, finance, legal – for the woman of today who likes to look sweet and fresh in pink but who is more powerful that a speeding freight train.
SheKnows is a wonderful combination of all of the magazines in the grocery store, with entertainment news, quizzes, crafts, recipes, self improvement articles, health tips.
Check it out!
So what is the new power color – does anybody know? Do you know what YOUR power color is? Take this quiz and find out.
