Resources
by Jim Logan on January 10, 2006

About a year ago I needed a logo designed for a client of mine and sought local resources to get the job done. Even with a concept drawing the best quote I could find was $500 - the highest was a little over $1000!
What if you could get a decent logo for under $100?
Form Small Business Opportunities, I found this post from Barry Moltz on Wired Magazine's recent profile of logo design service for under $100. Complete with resources, his post leads you to five providers of discount logos.
From time to time I come across the need for a logo o design. I found a nice and cost effective software solution that offers a pretty big bang for the buck, The Logo Creator from LaughingBird Software. The Logo Creator allows me to quickly - and with little graphic design experience - crank out a logo and design for web and print use. It's a great solution for those times when yo need to make a button or add a graphic to a landing page, website, ezine, etc.
How much or little have yo paid for a logo? Any horror stories to share in using a low cost provider?

You bet, I have always thought that having a logo will just eat a small amount of budget. But, whoah! Unfortunately, our company found out same price as you did for logo. Still, you are lucky enough to find cheaper and productive ways to have your logo created. We have spent over a thousand for that logo alone. Next time, I'll try using your advise here. Thanks!
