Sure Signs of a Lack of Focus
Filed in archive Management by Steve Rucinski on September 23, 2006

- Not returning phone calls on time
- Being late for meetings and appointments
- Poor communication between colleagues
- A lack of clarity around goals
- Not allowing enough travel time for appointments
- Not attending to paperwork efficiently
- Allowing bills to go unpaid
- Not following up on receivables
- Talking instead of listening
- Forgetting someone's name sixty seconds (or less) after being introduced
- Working long days with no exercise
- Not following through as promised
- Answering the phone during mealtime (even with family)
- Procrastinating on everything from filing taxes to cleaning the garage
I could go on, the secret is to be honest with ourselves, our outward behavior is always accurate, not our inward perception. If you find yourself unfocused, commit today to make a change!
