Thank You - MIA in Retail
All I want after I make a Retaillinks purchase is a sincere 'Thank You' in fact I would even settle for an insincere 'Thank You.'

Unfortunately I cannot remember the last time I heard a 'Thank You' after make a retail purchase.

Is this the sign of a major cultural shift, is it an indicator or the sign of our times?

Is it asking to much to hear an expression of appreciation for helping pay the person wages? Is it so denigrating to be indebted to someone else and the price you owe is just 2 words, Thank You.

Here is what it seems is more typical:

'There ya go'
'Have a good one'
(Silence, nothing is said)
'See ya later'
'So long'
'Anything else?'

What do you think? Am I asking too much?
