The Secret To Business Success

The Secret To Business Success

I don't want this to sound trivial. It isn't. And I'm serious in this statement – the difference between success and failure in business is execution. I know, we all heard that before, but I'm not talking about doing things right, I'm talking about doing things period.

Procrastination kills more business than anything else. I believe so. Putting off making the call, writing the letter, having the meeting, hiring the employee, firing the employee joining, quitting, aligning, doing. Putting off to tomorrow what could be done today kills business.

We know what we need to do, we just need to do it.

    Jim,

This is true in my experience as well. I’ve sat in meetings listening to all the stuff we’re going to do etc., and watch everybody talk a thing to the point where nothing is ever done to get it going.

This does more to stifle a business than just about anything else.

…and then we meet next week to discuss our progress and most of the items carry a status of still being open. And then we meet next week…

    Thanks for the comment Gary!

Things need to get done in any business. It can be as simple as getting an order out, to helping a customer in store. If nothing is done the business won’t live.
