A few weeks ago I mentioned that John Jantsch had started a Facebook group and I joined.

I was reading up on what some of the topics were today and the subject of Twitter came up. David Barnes of West Midlands asked if anyone was using Twitter for their business and Erik Martin offered up a great case study for how Palm Pictures used Twitter to enhance their brand awareness.

Twitter appears, especially from their home page image, to be a youthful toy to track down friends and see who's hangin where. But Palm Pictures utilized Twitter to create buzz for their company and followed up with nice gifts as well!

Is anyone out there using Twitter for business purposes? How have you seen it used effectively?

By the way - on the subject of Facebook, Scott Ginsberg of Hello My Name is Scott just started a group this week. check it out - he wants to know your #1 goal for 2007.
