Employees

Consider this: some employers are now using the Internet in their background check before considering hiring a new employee. Those jokes and comments that perhaps don't match up with your interview "game face" could come back and bite you in the butt.
Tim DeMello, founder and CEO of Ziggs, an online search directory and community for professionals, discovered a Facebook comment from one of his interns in which the intern bragged about getting paid while doing very little work. According to the recent edition of entrepreneur magazine, DeMello confronted the intern who admitted his poor work ethic and subsequently lost his job.
What do you think about this practice? Have you used the Internet for information when choosing a candidate to fill a vacancy in your company? Are Internet snooping lawsuits just around the corner?
No matter what your opinion, it pays to think before you post something on the Internet. Once it's there - it's there to stay.

I can't believe it. Are they actually doing this ? I guess it's important to know everything about your employees but this is ridiculous.

Why not look up your whole life and every single detail ? come on this is stupid, if they are interested in you they should take into consideration your ability to do your job right not other "extra curricular" aspects.
