When’s the Last Time You Said Thank You?

I met with a prospective client recently that had something are their disposal that almost had me salivating – a registry full of handwritten names, addresses, and telephone numbers of their customers…handwritten by the customer themselves.

My prospect did not know the wealth they held in that book.

"How many times have you sent Thank You notes to your customers in that book?" We never have."How often do you send a mailer, flyer, newsletter, update, etc.?" We never have. The simplest and most powerful thing you can do with a customer is sincerely thank them for having had the opportunity to serve them. The most powerful of all is a Thank You card – a personal hand written note of appreciation for their business. The loyalty they repay in referrals, renewals, and increased frequency of purchases is amazing.

What is your favorite and most effective way to express appreciation to a customer for their business?
