Word of Mouth Advertising
It is a good day when you discover a new blog of interest. Today was a GREAT day, as the new blog I found, was introducing yet another new blog.

The first, WonderBranding, a site dedicated to marketing to women by Michele Miller, was talking about the new blog sponsored by Word of Mouth Marketing Associations, WOMMA. The new blog is called, WOMMA Research Blog.

On the research blog one of their recent posts declared that women make more recommendations than men, citing the following facts:

* Men contact more people per day than women (41 versus 34).

* Women were more likely to share a positive experience with a business (91% versus 83%), or a product (95% versus 89%).

* Women tend to prefer verbal communications (37% versus 33%), whereas men tend to prefer email (37% versus 33%).

* Women are more likely to visit a message board or chat room daily (16% versus 13%).

Word of Mouth is the way of the future. Adding blogs, chat rooms and water cooler conversation to your marketing strategy is worth considering.

How have you changed your marketing strategies to add word of mouth to your campaigns?

Consider adding these blogs to those you peruse on a regular basis - I know I will.
