I'm all packed.
I started packing a couple weeks ago. That's just how excited I am. I leave in the morning for an information packed weekend at the 5th Annual Midwest Literary Festival
Each Midwest Literary Festival begins with a Friday Writer's Workshop open to those that want to perfect their craft or want to find out how to get their work published. To be held this year on Friday October 5th, the Writers' Workshop is a fee based, registration required event, featuring authors, publishers and agents as the faculty in an up close and personal setting allowing for interaction and questions along with the presentations of the day. Book pitches and critiques are included and become the hottest opportunity of the day. Registration is available by calling (630) 844-4731 or through the festival web site at MidwestLiteraryFestival.com. Registration opens for 2007 on July 9th and closes September 14th, 2007 or when capacity is reached.
The two main days of the festival, Saturday and Sunday, October 6 & 7 are free and open to the public, held in historic downtown Aurora, IL. Authors for the 2007 version of the Midwest Literary Festival are announced as they are confirmed with this information immediately available on the web site.
Authors like:
Emma McLaughlin and Micola Kraus of the Nanny Diaries
Jackie Mason with his 7th book Schmucks!, Schmucks!
Celebrity Chef Rocco DiSpirito
Martin Cruz Smith of Gorky Park and 24 other incredible novels
allison dubois, the inspiration behind the television show Medium
That's just to name a few! Plus agencies, publishers, editors - you name it.
I have two books for which I have prepared one minute sales pitches! Cross your fingers.
If you are in the area - come on down. The Festival Saturday and Sunday is free and open to the public! See you there!
