Yeah, but...

Those are often two of the most painful words to hear in life, sports, and business. It's often when something goodlinks is followed by something lacking. It's where greatness looms illusive.

Yeah, but who cares?

I'm not completely sure why, but human nature is to put emphasis on areas of performance requiring improvement. Things you can't do well are worked on in an effort to make you better. Better at things you aren't good at. What if instead of working harder on the things you're lacking, you worked harder on the things you're great at?

Assuming the things you're good at meet basic market needs, what if you put more focus on becoming excellent at the things you're great at...raising the bar of excellence for your entire marketplace in an area you already demonstrate greatness?

What if you focused more on the things you are already great at?
